309 is a photographic series created in 2019 exploring the domestic space. I am looking for traces of my Mother’s presence in the family home through artefacts that remain unchanged in the four years since her death. The images invite the viewer to compare and contrast the similarities and differences within the home. There is also a neutral observation of change and a question about happier or better days. Images on the left show the home in 1997 when my family first moved in with images on the right documenting the same view 21 years later. Both were shot on disposable cameras and then re shot together against a background of artefacts in the home.
